1. About Dordogne Collection

Dordogne Collection is an independent platform operated by Sandra Mengerink and Sven Van Acker, Périgord Noir, Dordogne, France. We act as an intermediary between property owners and guests. Each property in our collection is independently owned.

2. Booking process

Submitting a booking request via our website does not constitute a confirmed reservation. A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of the deposit and written confirmation from Dordogne Collection. We will respond to all requests within 24 hours.

3. Payment

A deposit of 50% of the total rental amount is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due 6 weeks before the start of your stay. Payment details will be provided upon confirmation. Accepted methods include bank transfer and major credit/debit cards.

4. Security deposit

A refundable security deposit is required for all bookings. The amount varies by property and is specified at the time of confirmation. The deposit is returned within 7 days of your departure, subject to inspection of the property.

5. Cancellation policy

By the guest:

• More than 60 days before arrival: full deposit refund
• 30–60 days before arrival: 50% of deposit refunded
• Less than 30 days before arrival: no refund

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to cover unforeseen cancellations.

By Dordogne Collection or the owner: In the unlikely event that we must cancel your booking, you will receive a full refund of all payments made. We will endeavour to offer an alternative property of equal or higher standard.

6. Occupancy and use

Properties may only be used for holiday purposes. The maximum number of guests stated in the property listing must not be exceeded. Subletting or assigning the booking to a third party is not permitted without prior written consent. Guests are expected to treat the property with respect and leave it in a clean and tidy condition.

7. Liability

Dordogne Collection acts as an agent and is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from your use of a property. Each property is provided by its owner, and any disputes regarding the condition of the property should be raised with us within 24 hours of arrival.

8. Pets and smoking

Pet and smoking policies vary by property and are specified in each property listing. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, smoking is not permitted inside properties.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with French law. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the French courts.
