A warm, earth-toned house for six to gather in comfort.
Maison de la Terre is a three-bedroom house of 130 m² near Naussannes in Périgord Pourpre, sleeping up to six across two floors and standing as the largest of the three houses on the Village des Éléments domain. The name draws on the element of earth and the palette follows it: terracotta, clay and ochre carry from the walls into the furnishings, a warmth that stays unhurried even at the height of summer.
The three bedrooms and three bathrooms are arranged for real separation. A twin sits on the ground floor with its own en-suite. Upstairs, a second twin shares a well-appointed bathroom with a walk-in shower, while a king bedroom of 180 by 210 cm keeps its original beams and stonework on show and has an en-suite of its own. Both twins work as singles or convert to doubles. The kitchen seats all six at one table. A wood burner steadies the living space on cooler nights; a heat pump fitted in January 2023 carries the day-to-day warmth; air conditioning holds the rooms through the Périgord summer.
Days open onto a private terrace with a Bastard kamado, the Dutch-made ceramic grill built for high heat and long, slow cooks. The heated saltwater swimming pool, shared by the three houses, sits a short walk away. Le Papillon, the on-site beauty salon, arranges massages and facials by appointment. Most evenings an optional three-course meal can be brought to the table from the domain kitchen at 25 euros a head. An EV charging station serves guests who arrive by electric car; fibre WiFi reaches throughout.
The surrounding villages repay an afternoon. Issigeac, one of the most complete medieval villages in the Périgord, lies approximately 15 minutes' drive, its circular lanes filling on Sunday for a market that draws producers from across the region. Eymet, an English-founded bastide with an arcaded square and a weekly market, is approximately 25 minutes' drive. Bergerac, the wine capital of its appellation with an international airport and an old town that keeps Cyrano's shadow, is approximately 35 minutes' drive.

Editor's note
Maison de la Terre is at its best filled to its number: six people, three bedrooms, three bathrooms and a kitchen table that takes the whole group at once. That is the shape it was built for. The ochre walls and the wood burner read less as decoration than as a decision about how a place should meet you when you come in off the Périgord back roads at the end of a long day.
The room to ask for is the first-floor king. Exposed stonework and original beams sit inside an otherwise calm, well-appointed space, the one corner where the age of the building is allowed to speak. The house is sure of its register: a grounded, warm base for a family or a group of friends who want to eat together at night and keep their own hours by morning.
